Job Creation
During its time in government, the UNC implemented policies that created thousands of new jobs across various sectors, including construction, energy, and technology. Under the People’s Partnership government (2010-2015), unemployment rates dropped significantly due to investments in infrastructure projects, entrepreneurship programs, and incentives for local businesses to expand and hire more workers. The UNC also launched initiatives like the On-the-Job Training (OJT) expansion, which provided young people with valuable work experience and employment opportunities
Healthcare
The UNC government revolutionized the healthcare sector by constructing and upgrading major hospitals and health centers across Trinidad & Tobago. Key achievements include:
✅ Couva Children’s Hospital & Multi-Training Facility, a state-of-the-art hospital built to provide high-quality pediatric and adult care.
✅ Expansion of free healthcare services, making essential medication and medical tests accessible to citizens.
✅ Introduction of the Chronic Disease Assistance Programme (CDAP), ensuring affordable medication for thousands of people suffering from diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic illnesses.

Education Reform
